Baby and toddler groups in the Stroud area on a Tuesday

September 2020 : We’re still trying to get updates from everyone about what groups are running and where : feel free to contact me with any information so we can get this updated.

♥ Nice for Newborns
All of the groups will welcome babies of any age but I understand that mums with very little babies might like something quieter, and with other newborns around. So I’ve put this symbol () next to ones that are more focused towards newborns (also sometimes called babes in arms, pre-crawling, not yet mobile).

Classes and group meets through the holidays
◊ Classes and group meets through the Some of the school holidays

Not all parents / carers run on school holiday timetable so it’s good to know what is available outside of term time. The website is still being updated, so please let us know if any of the classes and groups run through the holidays or not that don’t already say.

Amberley Playgroup and Toddlers
at The Parish Rooms (beneath Church), Amberley, Stroud, GL5 5JG

Amberley Toddlers is a very popular group with a great reputation locally. The group runs on Tuesday mornings 9.30-11.30 (term time only). It is open to all children aged 0-5 and any carers: Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Childminders etc. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. It is held in the Parish Rooms, beneath the church, in Amberley and this large space enables the children to enjoy a variety of activities in safety and comfort.

The Toddler group has access to the wide range of equipment used by the Playgroup including a home corner, craft supplies and a good selection of age appropriate toys and books. One side of the large hall is designated for ‘wheeled vehicles’ and physical activity toys (small trampoline, see-saw and slide), which make it particularly suitable for the more ‘active’ toddler! There is a designated baby area, with a carpeted floor and a range of suitable equipment.

The toddler group is a great place to come and meet other parents and carers, enjoy a coffee and biscuits. The first session is free and the costs thereafter are as follows:
Adult and a child under 1: £2.00
Adult and a child over 1: £3.00
Each additional child over 1: £1.00
These prices include drinks and biscuits for both adults and children. In addition, the session always ends with 15 minutes of music and movement led by a member of the playgroup staff.
